About Ruby Duvall

Ruby graduated from the University of Illinois and then spent several years in Japan teaching English and writing all while learning Japanese. Her experiences in what she calls the “Land of Wa” could fill a couple of books on their own, but it was from a shoebox-sized apartment in Tokyo that she published her first three romance novels. She passed the second-level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test before moving back to the States, just in time for the financial crisis. She now lives in Seattle and is writing while holding down a full-time job.

Interesting Fact: Ruby is very tall--taller than her entire family. She suspects that her mother had a secret midnight rendevous with a handsome time-travelling Viking.

Favorite Movies: 28 Days Later, The Last of the Mohicans, The Shining, Bridget Jones' Diary, Star Trek (2009), Aliens, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters.

Interesting Fact: Ruby is arachniphobic.

Favorite Foods: Ruby has had a long-standing love affair with Turkey Tom sandwiches from the Jimmy John's sandwich chain, mostly found in the Midwest, but thankfully there are a few locations in Seattle!
